Calling all artists!

Win the Featured Artist Award for the 2011 Derrick Days statewide advertising campaign. “Mystery Art in Tuckertown” is an event that will bring both awareness and creativity to Corsicana’s Annual Derrick Days festivities.

We need artists both young and old to participate in our 1st “Mystery Art in Tuckertown” event. Create one or more 8” x 10” pieces of art that represent Corsicana, Navarro County, or Derrick Days. Select the medium of your choice from photographs to oil paintings. Entries are free. Sign your work on the back only. Artist names will be revealed after the auction.

Art due date: April 15, 2010 at The Warehouse Gallery 119 West 6th Avenue, Corsicana.

Mike Irvin, Corsicana native and nationally recognized Clifton artist, will judge the entries.

Artwork will hang in the Warehouse Living Arts Center Gallery at 119 West 6th Ave from April 16th thru April 22nd.

All artwork will be offered for sale and auction at a Reception and Mystery Art Sale Thursday, April 22 from 5-7 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the children of Navarro County through more arts and services programs.
